Troubleshooting Portable Bag Sewing Machines

The portable bag sewing machine is a device for sewing plastic woven fabrics. It is mainly used for splicing and sealing woven fabrics. The key point of the process is the sewing strength. The general model is GK series.

The portable bag sewing machine may have the following main faults.

 

1.Stitch is too loose.

Check the thread tension.

Check the sharpness of the feed dog and throat plate teeth.

 

2.The needles keep breaking.

Check the looper and needle alignment.

Check the needle alignment to the throat plate and presser foot needle guide.

 

3.The thread keeps breaking.

Replace needle.

Is the thread unrolling easily from the cone?

Check the thread tension.

Check the thread guides and make sure they are clean.

Check timing procedures listed in item.

 

4.The machine is skipping stitches or does not make a thread chain at the end of the bag.

Check the thread tension.

Make sure the thread guides are clean and that thread can easily pass through them.

Is the thread unrolling from the cone easily?

Check the teeth on the feed dog and the throat plate. Replace them if they are dull.

Check if the needle is bent, loose, or misaligned (replace it).

Check if the looper is loose, worn or needs to be reset.

Make sure the machine is properly threaded.

 

Notes on use and maintenance:

Frequent inspection and maintenance of the bag sewing machine can keep the machine in normal working condition, reduce the occurrence of faults and increase its service life.

 

1. The hand wheel on the bag sewing machine should be rotated in a clockwise direction.

 

2. When sewing pockets of thicker materials, a little machine oil can be added to the sewing thread to reduce faults such as thread breakage and thread jump.

 

3. Sewing machine oil should be added to each moving part frequently, no less than three times per work shift. When not in use, it should be placed in a ventilated and dry place, and a dust cover should be added to prevent dust from damaging the machine.

 

4. After using the bag sewing machine, it should be cleaned and wiped in time, especially the needle and feeding mechanism, clean the fluff and dust left during work, and the surface of non-painted or exposed parts should be wiped with anti-rust oil to prevent the machine from rusting.
